Lace FAQs
What is the difference between transparent and HD lace?
Transparent lace is the most popular lace type. Transparent lace isn't as thin as HD lace, but it can still be toned to blend with skin. Transparent lace is more durable for those who like to reuse their lace or wig.
HD lace is a thinner more expensive lace which allows it to blend with the skin better. This lace is really thin and delicate, which means it requires carefulness and upkeep.
Both lace types are great to use, the way the lace melts also depends on the stylist and their techniques. There is no right or wrong choice, it all depends on the look you want to achieve.
What is the difference between 2x6,5x5 and 6x6 lace?
The difference between lace sizes are the coverage each gives. A 2x6 closure would provide the least coverage, but they are great for those who like middle parts and have become very popular. 5x5 and 6x6 closures would give you more coverage and would allow you to be more versatile with parting and styling.
What is the difference between 13x4 and 13x6 lace?
Like closures, one gives more parting space and versatility than the other. Lace is from ear to ear on both 13x4 and 13x6, but the 13x6 allows 2 extra inches for parting and styling. 13x6 frontals are great for those who like half up/half down styles, ponytails, or longer parts.
